| Abstract: | We describe a patient who developed an immobilizing lumbovertebralsyndrome after an extradural blood patch and who was hospitalizedwith a. suspected extradural abscess. An infectious aetiologyof the persistent backache could be excluded and the patientrecovered with analgesics and physiotherapy. The probable aetiologyis discussed. |
