Glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis (GIOP) is one of the most serious complications of glucocorticoids (GC) used by asthmatic patients. Especially the asthma patients who accept the treatment of GC for a long time, which take more and more attention among people. GC intervents the bone absorption and bone formation by all kinds of mechanism, which can induce GIOP and play an important part in clinic. So this view will itroduce something about the osteoporosis Mechanism, clinical characteristic, diagnosis, prevention and treatment in asthmic patients which maybe induced by being treated with different routes of administration of GC.
