| Abstract: | Acute displacement at cement-prosthesis interface of a polished femoral component of hip arthroplasty occurring as a consequence of attempted closed manipulation is rare. This complication can be avoided by placing cement over the shoulder of the prosthesis and using fluoroscopic control during closed manipulation if there is a dislocation. |
