Lymphatic metastasis in many malignant tumors is the main transfer pathway . Lymphatic metastasis is important for the tumor diagnosis , staging , and the treatment of the tumors. It is widely agreed that the tumor-induced angiogenesis is critical to the tumor growth and metastasis. Studies showed, like angio- genesis,lymphangiogenesis involves in the extracellular matrix degradation , and stimulates the lymphatic endo- thelial cell proliferation and migration , as well as to promote the formation of tubular structures. The cytokines ,which transmit information and modulate the immunity, also play an important role in nature in the lymphatic metastasis formation. The cytokines secreted by both the tumor cells and the host cells have been employed to develop drugs and treat diseases. The role of cytokines in the formation of lymphatic mechanism will have a broader value .
