| Abstract: | Objective To explore the indications and efficacy of endoscopic sphincterotomy （EST） procedures for the management of choledocholithiasis. Methods 125 cases of choledocholithiasis received EST between Jan. 2004 and Dec. 2009 were analyzed retrospectively. Results Success rate was 92. 8% ,average hospital expenditure was 14 thousand Yuan RMB,average hospital stay was 9. 8 days, and incidence of early postoperative complications was 9. 6 %, respectively. Conclusion Therapeutic endoscopy for choledocholithiasis is effective, but the incidence of complications should be reduced. |
