| Abstract: | The toxicity of the solid iodophor developed by Chemical Department, Nanjing University, was measured in laboratory. It was showed in experiment that the oral LD_(50) of the disinfectant in mice was 2870 mg / kg, and the toxicity was weakly cumulative. No mutagenic reaction was observed in sperm malformation test (57～1435 mg / kg) , micronucleus test (57～1435 mg / kg) and Ames test (0.1～1000μg / dish). No irritative reaction was found in rabbit skin patch test and eye irritation test (5000 ppm). On the basis of the experimental results, it is considered that the China-made solid iodophor is safe for use in disinfection practice. |
