The clinical analysis about the early complications in giant infants of diabetic mothers

Objective To undemtand the early complications happened in giant infants of diabetic mothers so as to monitor and control them pointedly as early as possible.Method TO summarize the 38 clinical data of giant infants of diabetic mothers retrospedtively.Result Among 38 giant infants of diabetic mothers,there are 25 premature infants(65.8 percent),20 hypoglycemia(52.6 percent).18hyperbilirubinemia(47.4 percent),15 polycythemia(39.5 percent),15 hypocalcemia(39.5 percent, 14 suffocation(36.8 percent),12 intracranial hemorrhage(31.6 percent),8 ARDS(21.1 percent),4 congenital malformation(10.5 percent),3 aspiration pneumonia(7.9 percent).Conclusion Premature birth and many complications,which are mainly about hypoglycemia、hyperbilirubinemia、polycythemia、hypocalcemia、suffocation、intracranial hemorrhage,can easily be seen in giant infant of diabetic mothers.Monitoring made in the period of pregnancy,ante partum、intrapartum、postpartum,towards the diabetic mother should be well done,aspecially to those early complications of the giant infants mentioned above.
