基质金属蛋白酶(MMPs)是一个家族的锌依赖性蛋白酶,基质金属蛋白酶-9(matrix metalloproteinases-9,MMP-9)又称明胶酶,是金属蛋白酶家族中的一员,它参与细胞外基质(Extracellular matrix,ECM)胶原的代谢,在许多心血管疾病的发生、发展过程中发挥重要作用,如参与心肌梗死后心室的重构和高血压引起的心室重构等.
