Paediatric pain: an important area for research in physical therapy

Abstract

Pain and pain management are topics for which there is an abundance of literature available, including research on pharmacological and non-pharmacological management of acute and chronic pain. However, the amount of information available dwindles significantly when the topic turns to pain in the paediatric population, and is even more limited in regard to nonpharmacologic management of such pain.
