It is still difficult in the modern researches of traditional Chinese medicine to maintain the distinguishing feature and advantages of traditional Chinese medicine. It goes against the law of the development of traditional Chinese medicine to investigate into the theories of traditional Chinese medicine by means of the modes, methods, approaches and indexes in western medicine. It is advisable to follow the basic theories, opinions and methods of traditional Chinese medicine and reasonably make use of the theories, methods and techniques of modern science, so as to establish a modern research system with TCM features for the research of the basic theories of traditional Chinese medicine.
