Effect of Nursing Intervention on Prevention of Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia in Critically Ill Patients with ICU

Objective:To summarize the application of nursing intervention in the prevention of ventilator-associated pneumonia in critically ill patients with ICU.Methods:70 patients with severe ventilator-assisted ventilation treated in a hospital from November 2017 to November 2018 were enrolled in the study.They were randomly divided into observation group and control group,35 cases in each group.The control group received routine nursing measures,and the observation group applied nursing intervention measures,to observe and compare the clinical effect of the two groups of patients.Results:The mechanical ventilation time(105.2±5.2)h and the VAP incidence rate of 20.00%in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group with 42.86%.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Nursing intervention can not only significantly shorten the time of mechanical assisted ventilation in ICU patients,but also effectively prevent the occurrence of related pneumonia.It is worthy of popularization.
