Blood samples of 2500 healthy volunteer donors attending the Jordan UniversityHospital Blood Bank were screened for HBSAg by the R.I.A. and R.P.H.A. methods and revealed the presence of 111 HBPSAg positive samples (4·4%). A higher positive rate was present among elderly donors from crowded poor areas with low income, education and hygiene. |
