Zur Frage der Antigenwirkung des Schweißes bei der Neurodermitis disseminata

Summary The antigenic role of sweat in neurodermatitis was investigated in 40 patients with neurodermatitis and various other dermatoses. Homologous and autologous sweat was used as antigen in the lymphocyte-transformation-test. No positive transformation was achieved in this study. Therefore, the hypothesis that neurodermatitis is an allergic disease with sweat acting as an antigen could not be proved. In addition, a comparison of results obtained by scintillation counting and morphologic observation of transformed lymphocytes is presented.
