| Abstract: | A young patient with chronic renal failure, pancytopenia and hepatosplenomegaly with hypersplenism had evidence of severe renal osteodystrophy on x-ray films and a bone marrow biopsy specimen resembling myelofibrosis. Hematologic improvement followed splenectomy and was sustained following renal transplantation. |
