Abstract: | SummaryIsolated suspended uterine horns of the rat show a leakage of histamine into their bathing fluid. The leakage is increased by 50 kv x-irradiation in doses of 1000 r. Such increase is suggested to be due to liberation of the bio-amine from its storage sites. The phenomenon is comparable to that found for serotonin and catecholamines. |
