| Abstract: | sing the technique of Ag - NORs, we com-pared the number of silver-stained NORs on chro-mosome of the peripheral lymphocytes from 40schizophrenic patients with 20 morinal individuals.It was found that the total mean value of Ag -NORs was 6. 18 0. 15/per cell in group of 1 to 5years of illness Listory (1 ) , 6. 11 0. 13/per cell ingroup of 6 to 10 years of illness history (2) and6. 21 0. 17/per cell in the control group. The sta-tistical analysis showed there was no significant dif-ference between the first group and the controlgroup ( p > 0. 05 ), the second group and thecomtrol group. It suggested that transcribed activityof rRNA was not inhibited by psychotropic drugs. |
