| Abstract: | Objective：To observe the effect of Chinese Tuina manipulation therapy in treating knee osteoarthritis,and analyze the changes of knee joint flexors and extensors.Methods：A total of 96 patients were randomly assigned to treatment group receiving Chinese Tuina manipulation therapy（n=48） and control group receiving fenbid treatment（n=48）.Knee pain score,Lequene Mery assessment tests,and Isokinetic evaluation were recorded before and after treatment.Results：①Knee pain scores in both groups were improved significantly after treatment（P〈0.05）.Lequene Mery assessment tests showed no significant changes（P〉0.05）.②Isokinetic evaluation of knee joint flexors and extensors showed significant difference between the two groups after treatment（P〈0.05）.Conclusion： ①Tuina manipulation therapy and fenbid treatment both may reduce knee pain.They have the same curative efficiency in short term.②Tuina manipulation therapy is better than fenbid in improving the strength,total work and average power of knee joint flexors and extensors. |
