Chronic myelomonocytic leukemia following refractory anemia with sideroblasts: report of two cases |

| Abstract: | We report 2 patients with idiopathic refractory sideroblastic anemia who developed chronic myelomonocytic leukemia 1 to 5 yr later. This observation supports the decision of the FAB cooperative group to include both conditions in the category of myelodysplastic syndrome. |
