Clinical observation of chronic renal failure treated by traditional Chinese medicine

Objective To observe the clinical effect of chronic renal failure treated by traditional Chinese medicine.Methods 97 cases of chronic renal failure were randomly divided into groups.Patients in control group（n=34） were given routine western medicine therapy.Patients in treatment group（n=63） were treated by oral administration and enema of traditional Chinese medicine,and routine western medicine.The course was three months in two groups.Results The total effective rate in treatment group（84.0%） was higher than that in control group（61.8%,P0.05）.There were obvious differences between before and after treatment on Cr,BUN,24 h urine protein and Hgb in two groups（P0.05）.Cr,BUN and 24 h urine protein was decreased after treatment,Hgb was increased.Conclusion A traditional Chinese medicine for benefiting qi for invigorating spleen and invigorating kidney,eliminating turbid and removing toxin can significantly improve clinical symptoms of chronic renal failure,and reduce SCr and 24h urine protein.
