Abstract:[Objective] To evaluate the left ventricular myocardial function using speckle tracking imaging(STI) in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD).[Methods] Thirty-eight patients with CHD(CHD group)and 32 healthy volunteers(control group)were enrolled in the study.The two-dimensional images were obtained from GE Vivid 7 Dimension echocardiography and two-dimensional radial strain(SR) and circumferential strain(CS) were analyzed on GE Echo PAC system.Left ventricular peak SR and CS values of basal plane,papillary muscle plane and apical plane during systole were measured.[Results] In the same level,the CS values of anteroseptal showed higher than those of the other segments in control group.Compared to the control group,the ventricular peak SR and CS values in part of segments were lower in CHD(P<0.05).[Conclusion] Regional wall motion of left ventricular in patients with CHD can be evaluated accurately with STI.
