The value of HbA1c in the diagnosis of diabetes.

Objective To study the value of HbAlc in the diagnosis of diabetes. Methods Retrospective analysis of the data of 200 eases for HbAI c and fasting blood glucose testing. Observed the sensitivity, specificity and positive predictive value of HbA1 e in the diagnosis of diabetes for the first examination, 3 months, 6 months. Results At the first examination and Subsequent follow-up of 3,6 months, the sensitivity, specificity and positive predictive of HbAlc diagnosis of diabetes were： 90. 32%, 66.27% ,22.7% ;89. 47% ,77.16% ,30% ;89.74% .90.68% ,51.7%. Conclusion Diagnosis of diabetes, HbAlc sensitivity, specificity and positive predictive value is better, can be used as a reference indicator of the diagnosis of diabetes.
