Abstract:
The female hormone 17ß-estradiol is involved in thedevelopment of breast cancer, an effect usually attributed toits capacity to stimulate the replication of preneoplastic andmalignant cells. In this study, we report that 17ß-estradiolenhances the onset of genomic rearrangements, a type of genomicinstability, in minisatellite sequences of malignant 10T1
