The surgical procedure was done in 112 cases,114 eyes of various patte-rns of glaucoma.Of which,95.14% were succesful.Over a long-term followup for 32 months average postoperatively in 51 eyes,the intraocularpressure was controlled in 88.24%.Clinical practice proved the operationpossessed both the advantages of Trabeculotomy and Iridencleisis、Suchasthe anterior chamber partially remaimed during the operation;nocomplica-tions of delayed recovering of anterior chamber;permenant reduction ofintraocular pressure,extraocular procedure primarilly;lack of complicationsduring the operation etc.The mechanism of the reduction of the intraocularpressure was studied.A physical hypothesis is considered according to the Pascal′s law thatowing to the influence of the transmission of the pressure intensity andgravity,the valvular effect of the scleral flap is made posseble.Thus,theregulation of the extradrainage volume of aqueous is available,and the maiute-nace of dynamic balance of aqueuos approximates to the phisiologicalstate is promoted.
