Clinical observation of Zhuangdan Yanshi Decoction combined with paroxetine hydrochloride in the treatment of premature ejaculation

Objective It is to observe the clinical efficacy of Zhuangdan Yanshi Decoction combined with paroxetine hydrochloride in the treatment of premature ejaculation.Methods 160 patients with premature ejaculation diagnosed and treated in Shaanxi Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January to July 2019 were randomly divided into an observation group of 80 cases and a control group of 80 cases.The control group was treated with paroxetine hydrochloride 20 mg/(time·d)orally,administered at draught after lunch.The observation group was given Zhuangdan Yanshi Decoction on the basis of the treatment of the control group,1 dose/d,decoction in water and divided into two doses.Both groups were treated continuously for 4 weeks.The intravaginal ejaculation latency time(IELT),premature ejaculation profile(PEP)score,effective rate and incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups were recorded and compared before and after treatment.Results After treatment,the IELT and PEP scores of the two groups were significantly higher than those before treatment in the two groups(P<0.05),and the observation group was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was 93.4%(71/76),and that of the control group was 78.9%(56/71),the observation group was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 9.2%(7/76),and that of the control group was 31.0%(22/71),the observation group was significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Zhuangdan Yanshi Decoction combined with paroxetine hydrochloride has a significantly better efficacy with good safety in the treatment of premature ejaculation than paroxetine hydrochloride alone.
