Clinical observation of acupuncture combining with western medicine on treating 30 cases of pediatric HFMD

Objective To observe the clinical effect of acupuncture combining with western medicine on treating pediatric HFMD.Methods 60 HFMD children were randomly divided into treating group and control group,the patients of 2 groups were treated according to the conventional treating method of pediatric HFMD,the treating group received acupuncture treatment(selected Dazhui,Quchi,Hegu,Shaoshang,Tianshu,Zusanli,Xuehai,Feishu,Xinshu,Geshu points and so on,used 4 to 5 points every time).The curative effect of 2 groups was judged by observing the remission rate of clinical symptom and the average alleviate time of illness.Results The difference of total effective rate of 2 groups was not significant(P>0.05),but the difference of significant efficiency rate and average alleviate time of illness of 2 groups was significant(P<0.01 or P<0.05).Conclusion The significant efficiency rate and average alleviate time of illness of acupuncture combining with western medicine on treating pediatric HFMD are significantly superior to western medicine,the method is one important means to improve curative effect.
