The Silver Anniversary Celebration, a two-day conference held in Washington, D.C. – June 28–29, 1971 – was sponsored by 17 national health and mental health organizations to honor the 25th anniversary of the National Mental Health Act and to give awards in recognition for achievement in the field of mental health.
