Treatment based on syndrome differentiation has been used on diabetes patients for thousands of years. Nowadays, Qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome can be proved in more and more patients during our clinical works. Moreover, the clinical practice has showed that TCM treatment in diabetes is effective. This article interprets the research progress of Qi stagnation and blood stasis in diabetes from the following/＇our aspects：etiology and pathogenesis in TCM, treatment based on syndrome differentiation, clinical data statistics and scientific research.
