Medullated retinal nerve fibers

Abstract. Myelinated retinal nerve fibers may cause fluctuating functional defects. In cases of association with neuro-ophthalmological disease, functional loss due to the medullated nerve fibers and due to the concomitant disease, may be difficult to evaluate.
