A new simple ultramicromethod for the determination of d-xylose in blood and urine

A simple, rapid and accurate ultramicromethod for the determination of d-xylose in blood and urine, based on Bial reaction, is proposed. The method is well adapted for routine performance in hospital laboratories, and may be especially useful in pediatrie clinics as only 20 μl of blood is required for the determination.
