Abstract:Objective To analyze the left ventricular global systolic function with three-dimensional speckle tracking imaging(3D-STI)in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)complicated with hyperuricemia(HU).Methods Sixty-two patients with T2DM were divided into T2DM group(33 cases)and T2DM+HU group(29 cases)according to whether they had HU,and 40 healthy subjects were selected as the control group.All groups were examined by routine and three-dimensional echocardiography.The 3D-STI analysis software was used to obtain and compare the differences in 3D-STI parameters between the groups,and the influencing factors were analyzed.Results Left ventricular global longitudinal strain(GLS)in T2DM group was lower than that in control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no significant difference in left ventricular global circumscribed strain(GCS),area strain(GAS),and radial strain(GRS)between the T2DM group and control group.GLS,GAS,GCS and GRS in T2DM+HU group were lower than those in control group and T2DM group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Fasting blood glucose and serum uric acid were independent influencing factors of left ventricular global strain values in all directions.Conclusion 3D-STI can sensitively detect the impaired left ventricular global systolic function in patients with T2DM complicated with HU at early stage,providing a reliable basis for clinical practice.
