Progress in diagnosis of COVID-19

Since the outbreak of COVID-19,the high infectivity of the disease has caused a sharp increase in the number of confirmed cases,and the death toll has also been rising.Currently,more than 200 countries or regions around the world have cases of infection.Early diagnosis can successfully control the spread of the disease,and the infected persons can be effectively isolated and treated,thereby improving their survival rate.China has achieved a phased victory in controlling COVID-19 at present.This review analyzes the clinical manifestations,laboratory examinations,imaging features,the molecular and serological methods for definitive diagnosis of COVID-19,as well as the changes of diagnostic criteria in several amendments to China′s Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Diagnosis and Treatment Program in the hope of improving people′s understanding of the disease and providing more support for future research.
