Effects of Risperidone Combining with Sertraline on Obsessive-compulsive Disorder.

Objective To explore the effect of risperidone combining with sertraline on patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder（OCD）.Methods A total of 80 patients with OCD were randomly treated with risperidone combining with sertraline（n=40） or sertraline only（n=40）.The efficacy was measured with Yale-Brown obsessive Compulsive Scale（Y-BOCS）,Hamilton anxiety scale HAMA）and Hamilton Depression Scale（HAMD）.Results After treatment,there were significant differences between two groups in the reduction rate of Y-BOCS,HAMA and HAMD total scores.There were significant differences between combined group and sertraline group at the scores of Y-BOCS（t=2.61）,HAMA（t=2.48）,HAMD（t=2.54） in the end of the study（P all 0.05）.Conclusion Risperidone combining with sertraline have a superior effectiveness in treating OCD.
