Effects of erector spinal plane block combined with general anesthesia on hemodynamics and postoperative pain in patients undergoing inguinal hernia repair

Objective To investigate the effect of erector spinalis plane block combined with general anesthesia on hemodynamics and postoperative pain in patients undergoing inguinal hernia repair. Methods From October 2018 to October 2019, 68 patients with inguinal hernia repair were treated in our hospital, they were divided into observation group and control group by digital random table method, with 34 cases in each group. The control group received general anesthesia. The observation group combined with erector spinal plane block on the basis of the control group. The hemodynamic indexes and postoperative VAS pain scores of the two groups were compared. Results At T0, there was no significant difference in HR and MAP between the two groups;from T1 to T3, the levels of HR and MAP in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05);at 2, 8, 12 and 24 h after operation, the VAS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion The application value of erector spinalis plane block combined with general anesthesia in patients with inguinal hernia repair is high. It can reduce postoperative pain and maintain stable hemodynamics. It is worthy of clinical application.
