Abstract:
Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of the modified computer-assisted orbitonasal reconstruction by the auther for recurrent orbital and paranasal sinus mucocele.Methods The clinical data of 45 cases of recurrent orbitonasal sinus mucocele treated by modified computer-assisted orbitonasal reconstruction from Jul.2008 to Jan.2018 in Henan Province People’s Hospital were analyzed re-trospectively.The efficacy was observed.The follow-up time was 25-44 months.Results The postoperative vision(BCVA,logMAR)was better than preoperative vision(t=7.665,P<0.05)and postoperative exophthalmus was lower than that before operation in all cases(t=8.871,P<0.05).The examination of computed tomography scan indicated that all of the 45 cases had the unobstructed passageway of endonasal drainage without recurrence of paranasal sinus mucocele,meanwhile without any adverse effects such as infection,foreign body rejection and so on.The computed tomography scan also showed that all the 45 cases had excellent recovery of the orbitonasal anatomical structure,and with the location of eyeball and function of ocular motility restoring to normal condition gradually.Conclusion Modified computer-assisted orbitonasal reconstruction is a comparatively better method for the treatment of recurrent orbital paranasal sinus mucocele.
