Rudolph Arenheim's "Visual Thinking" Theory

Rudolph Arenheim clearly put forward the notion of "visual thinking" from the angle of aesthetic intuitive psychology so as to reveal the rational functions of the visual organs when feeling the outside matters,and the immense role the visual image plays in general thinking activities.One important contribution Arenheim made in the fields of visual art theories is to reconcile the separation,contradiction and the opposition between "perception" and "thinking",sense impressions and rationality,arts and sciences.Besides,Arenheim raised questions for further research,such as the scientific naming,the matter of essence and the creativity of visual thinking.
