Analysis on Development of Health Resources and Health Services in Ningxia

OBJECTIVE To understand the allocation of health resources in Ningxia region,to make a reasonable regional health planning and to provide suggestions for improving the health service capacity.METHODS The data of health resources and health services in Ningxia from 2012 to 2019 were collected and analyzed.RESULTS From 2012 to 2019,the total health resources of Ningxia were sufficient,the total number of health personnel,the total number of medical institutions and the number of beds in medical institutions per 1000 population all increased.The development of health services has been optimized year by year,specifically,the average annual growth rate of hospital bed utilization rate was-1.81%,and the average length of stay of inpatients was-2.95%.CONCLUSION Human health resources were gradually optimized but still needed to be improved.The number of diagnosis and treatment in primary health institutions was increasing year by year,but the proportion was still low.Physician workloads was slightly released but were still higher than the national average.It needed to continuous optimize human resources for health,continue to improve the capacity of primary health services,and continue to strengthen incentives.
