| Abstract: | Objective To investigate the relationship between Internet Addiction Disorder（IAD） and loneliness.Methods A total of 735 college students were surveyed by UCLA Loneliness Scale and Internet Addiction Scale,then the correlations among them were analyzed.Results The students with internet addiction felt lonelier than those without internet addiction（U=11.52,P0.01）;the only child group had higher IAD rate than the non-only child group（χ2=9.424,P0.01）and they felt lonelier（U=2.87,P0.01）.Conclusion Internet addiction has a closed relationship with loneliness.More study and intervention on loneliness and internet should be made in educational and developmental psychology. |
