Abstract: | Three pediatric patients with renal osteodystrophy were treated with 1αOHD3 and 24, 25(OH)2D3. While serum calcium level significantly decreased, no significant effects were found on serum phosphorus, alkaline phosphatase, parathyroid hormone and urinary excretion of calcium. These results suggest that 24, 25(OH)2D3 may play some roles in bone and mineral metabolism. |
