Clinical Study on Acupuncture at Qiaomai and Weimai in the Treatment of Oculomotor Paralysis

Objective To observe the clinical effect of acupuncture on Qiaomai and Weimai as the main treatment of oculomotor nerve paralysis.Methods A total of 50 patients hospitalized in Ophthalmology department of Chongqing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2016 to December 2019 were selected.Patients were divided into treatment group and control group by simple randomization,with 25 cases in each group.In the treatment group,acupuncture was mainly used to adjust Qiaomai and Weimai combined with conventional acupuncture,while in the control group,conventional acupuncture was used to select acupoints.The therapeutic effects of the two groups were observed and compared.Results The total effective rate of the treatment group was 92.00%(23/25),and that of the control group was 80.00%(20/25).The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture at Qiaomai combined with Weimai is effective in treating oculomotor paralysis.
