| Abstract: | Objective To study the expression of inhibitor of growth 1 (p33ING1b) in gallbladder carcinomas and its clinical significance.Methods The expression of p33ING1b in 33 cases of gallbladder carcinomas and 20 cases of chronic cholecystitis was observed by immunohistochemical analysis. Results In all cases of chronic cholecystitis, the expression of p33ING1b is 100% (20/20),while the expression of p33ING1b is of 53.33%(16/30)in gallbladder carcinoma,There is significant difference of p33ING1b between the chronic cholecystitis group and gallbladder carcinomas(P<0.05). Additionally, p33ING1b expression is also correlated with differentiation levels of gallbladder carcinoma in which the well-differentiated one have the highest level of p33ING1b expression(P<0.05). Conclusions p33ING1b expression was lost in some of the gallbladder carcinoma. It might involve in the development of gallbladder carcinogenesis. |
