Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Wuhan, Chengdu and Chongqing were selected as sample cities. The medication amount of proton pump inhibitors was investigated. The sort, share, rate and clinical efficacy of proton pmnp inhibitors were recorded. Results： Omeprazole, pantoprazole, esomeprazole, rabeprazole and lansoprazole were most frequently used.
