Abstract: | British bioethicists Ruth Chadwick got her doctor's degree in eugenics and genetic engineering ethics at Oxford University. Now she is the academician of British Royal Academy of Social Sciences, British Royal Academy and Royal Society of Medicine. She was the host of EUROSCREEN genetic screening ethics project funded by European Commission, and now in charge of some genomics researches. She has made a positive contribution to interdisciplinary research in law, English, communication and philosophy. She published a series of books and papers about genetics, ethics, etc. In her paper, Epigenetics and Personalised Medicine: Prospects and Ethical Issues, she discussed that the development of genetics bring possibility to personalized medicine and whether it can lead to ethical issues, she had some insights into epigenetics knowledge and personalized medicine. In addition, she also answered some related academic questions. |
