Abstract: | OBJECTIVE: To use computer modeling of the Bio-Heat equation to demonstrate factors influencing RF ablation tissue heating. CONCLUSION: Computer modeling demonstrates the importance of energy deposition, tumor and background tissue electrical and thermal conductivity, and perfusion on RF ablation outcomes. |
