| Abstract: | Asymmetric aldol reactions are considered to be one of the most widely used reactions, especially in the field of total synthesis of natural products. Herein, the research on chiral auxiliary or chiral catalyst mediated asymmetric aldol reactions and their applications in the total synthesis of natural products within recent five years are reviewed. |
