肿瘤干细胞与前列腺癌相关研究进展

肿瘤干细胞学说是近些年来新发展起来的一个学说,该学说认为肿瘤起源于肿瘤干细胞,是一种干细胞疾病,肿瘤组织中存在的一小部分具有干细胞性质的肿瘤干细胞,它们具有无限的自我更新和多向分化潜能和高度增殖能力,是肿瘤形成和发展的关键。有越来越多的证据表明CSC与多种实体肿瘤,如乳腺癌、脑肿瘤以及前列腺癌等密切相关。CSC学说在向传统观点提出挑战的同时,也为肿瘤的治疗带来了新的希望。

Progression of tumor stem cell and prostatic cancer

Tumor stem cell hypothesis is a newly developed theory in recent years which asserts that tumors are derived from tumor stem cells, for which reason it can be named as a disease of stem cells.There inhabit in the tumor a small amount of tumor stem cells which exhibit the features of stem cells, possessing the ability of unlimited self-renew, differentiation potential, and proliferation. They are thought to be critical for initiation and propagation of cancer. Increasing evidences have revealed the importance of cancer stem cells （CSCs） in many solid tumors, such as breast cancer, brain tumor, as well as prostatic cancer. Coming with the challenge brought out to the traditional view on tumor, the CSC hypothesis has also delivered new approach to the cure of tumor.
