An oncocytoma of the prostate of an 87-year-old man, who underwent transurethral resection because of prostatic enlargement, is reported. Electronmicroscopic and immunohistochemical evaluation confirmed the oncocytic nature of the tumour cells. To our knowledge, this lesion is hitherto undescribed in this location. |
