| Abstract: | It is importment for clinicians to be aware of iatrogenic neuromuscular disorders. Patients suspected of having drug-induced neuromuscular disorders are diagnosed through comprehensive medical history, physical examination, proper blood workup, electrophysiological studies, and, if necessary, muscle or nerve biopsy. In this paper, the drugs that are known to induce muscle and/or nerve toxicity are reviewed, the commonly encountered signs and symptoms are described, and the mechanisms underlying these iatrogenic effects are discussed. |
