| Abstract: | As there are no prospective randomized clinical trials to provide guidance for selection of the optimal operation of the papillary thyroid microcarcinoma(PTMC),considerable controversy exists about how much thyroid tissue should be removed at the initial operation and the necessity of the node dis- section.This topic will review the surgical procedure and the posttreatment surveillance of PTMC in recent years. |
