Abstract:	Medical treatment of ectopic pregnancy with methotrexate has become the standard of care in many areas of the U.S. Rupture of ectopic pregnancy after medical treatment presents a diagnostic challenge to the Emergency Physician. We review a series of 11 patients with ectopic pregnancy treated with methotrexate who then required surgical treatment for rupture.
