Analysis of Volume Load and Nutritional Status of Patients with Diabetic Nephropathy and Non-diabetic Nephropathy on Peritoneal Dialysis

Objective To observe and compare the volume load and nutritional status of peritoneal dialysis patients with diabetic nephropathy and non-diabetic nephropathy.Methods 108 patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis treatment in the hospital from February 2019 to February 2020 are the subjects of this study.According to whether the patient’s disease type is diabetic nephropathy,they were divided into group A(54 cases of diabetic nephropathy)and group B(54 cases of non-diabetic nephropathy),the volume load and nutritional status of the two groups were compared.Results The blood pressure,urine output,ultrafiltration volume and other volume load-related parameters of patients in group A were higher than those in group B after 6 months of treatment,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The proportion of individuals with edema after 6 months of treatment in group A was 62.96%significantly higher than that in group B 48.15%,with statistically significant differences(χ²=5.523,P<0.05).After 6 months of treatment in group A,the nutritional indicators such as albumin and total protein were lower than those in group B,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The malnutrition rate in group A after 6 months of treatment was 74.07%,which was higher than malnutrition rate of 38.89%in group B,and the difference was significantly different(χ²=13.599,P<0.05).Conclusion Patients with diabetic nephropathy and non-diabetic nephropathy are in a state of high volume load and poor nutritional status after 6 months of hemodialysis treatment.
